Vertical Aerospace (EVTL) Prices $60 Million Public Offering at $5 Per Share

(Bristol, England) Electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) developer Vertical Aerospace (NYSE: EVTL) announced this morning (Jul. 9) that it priced its public offering of $60 million in ordinary shares at $5.00 per share; shares have fallen more than 30 percent to $4.80 as of 10.43am this morning, from yesterday’s (Jul. 8) closing price of $6.95.

The offering is expected to close tomorrow (Thurs, July. 10), according to today’s press release from Vertical. Deutsche Bank Securities and William Blair are acting as joint book runners.

Vertical Aerospace’s market cap – which stood at $588 million as of yesterday, is currently $402.717 million.

Vertical plans to use the proceeds of its offering to fund research and development as it continues developing its electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft; the funds will also support expansion of testing and certification capacities, along with general working capital needs, per Investing.com.

The offering follows the company’s registration statement on Form F-3 filed with the SEC on May 13, 2025, which was declared effective on May 16, 2025.

Vertical is developing the VX4, a four-passenger electric aircraft with zero operating emissions, and is also working on a hybrid-electric variant. It has secured approximately 1,500 pre-orders from customers including American Airlines (NASDAQ: AAL), Japan Airlines (9201.T), GOL Airlines (BVMF: GOLL54) and Bristow Group (NYSE: VTOL), according to the company.

Vertical Aerospace’s next earning report is scheduled for August 1, 2025.
