Today’s SpaceX Double-Header Sent a Total of 44 Starlink Satellites to LEO from California and Florida
SpaceX launched 20 Starlink Satellites from California early this morning, and an additional 24 satellites from Florida at 8.21 a.m. EST.
(Vandenberg, California & Cape Canaveral, Florida) SpaceX’s launch double-header this morning consisted of an early-morning / late-evening (12.23 a.m. EST / 9.23 p.m. PST (0523 GMT)) send-off of 20 Starlink Satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California and the launch of an additional 24 Starlink Satellites to low-Earth orbit (LEO) from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida at 8.21 a.m. EST (13.21 GMT).

SpaceX’s early-morning Vandenberg flight marked the eighth for the first stage booster supporting the mission, which previously launched Oneweb 4, USSF-62, and now six Starlink missions, according to SpaceX.
The company’s second launch from SLC-40 marked the 18th flight for the mission’s first stage booster, which previously launched the mPOWER-C, OneWeb2, Intelsat 40e, Digital Globe 2, Turksat-6A, Eutelsat 36X, Ovzon-3, CRS-26, and now 10 Starlink missions, per SpaceX.
SpaceX’s Starlink megaconstellation currently consists of more than 6,560 active satellites, according to Space.com.
