Joby and Volocopter Complete New York City’s First eVTOL Flights

Joby Aviation, Inc. (NYSE: JOBY) and Volocopter today (November 13th) completed the first-ever eVTOL flights in New York City from Manhattan’s downtown heliport in the financial district.

Hosted by New York City Mayor Eric Adams and the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), the flights of Joby’s S4 electric air taxi prototype and the Volocopter 2X marked the world’s largest and first public event showcasing multiple electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft in a city.
