Embraer Closed 2Q25 with Record $30 Billion Order Backlog (Announced Jul. 21)
Brazilian planemaker Embraer announced on Monday (Jul. 21) that its firm order backlog stood at $29.7 billion at the end of the second quarter, a record high for any quarter and up 40% from one year prior.
(São Paulo, Brazil) Brazilian planemaker Embraer (NYSE: ERJ) announced yesterday (Jul. 21) that its firm order backlog stood at $29.7 billion at the end of 2Q2025, a record high for any quarter and up 40% from one year prior, according to a securities filing from the company, per Reuters.

Embraer delivered 61 aircraft in 2Q25 across all of its business units (as reported earlier this month) representing a 30% increase vs. 2Q24, when 47 aircraft were delivered, and more than double the 30 aircraft delivered in 1Q25, according to yesterday’s press release from the company.
Per Embraer, its Commercial Aviation business unit achieved its largest order backlog in eight years, totaling $13.1 billion – a 31% increase compared to 1Q25 and 16% increase compared to 2Q24 – and celebrated the milestone of 1,000 E175 aircraft sold since the plane’s launch in 2005.
As for Embraer Executive Aviation, the business unit reported a $7.4 billion order backlog in 2Q25, up 62% year-over-year (2Q24) , but down (2%) from 1Q24. 2Q25 deliveries totaled 38 jets, 41% higher than the 27 jets delivered in 2Q24. In 1H2025, executive jet deliveries totaled 61 aircraft, equivalent to 41% of the midpoint of the 2025 annual estimate (between 145 and 155) and 8 percentage points above the 32% average recorded for the period over the last 5 years, per Embraer.
In Defense & Security, Embraer’s order backlog ended 2Q25 at US$4.3 billion, up 3% from the previous quarter and double the amount recorded a year ago, according to the company.
Services & Support increased its backlog to US$4.9 billion – a significant increase of 55% year-over-year and a 5% increase quarter-over-quarter , driven by several contracts signed during 2Q25, per Embraer.
Embraer, whose chief executive last week said that U.S. tariffs announced against Brazil could have a pandemic-like impact on the firm, will report its full second-quarter earnings on August 5, per Reuters.
