EHang’s EH216-S eVTOL Completed a Passenger-Carrying Flight in Nan’an, China
The company also announced the delivery of five of its eVTOLS to local customers.
(Nan’an, China) Electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) vehicle manufacturer EHang (NASDAQ: EH) announced today (Aug. 14) on its Instagram page, @ehang.official, and via its X account that it completed its first passenger-carrying pilotless eVTOL flight in Nan’an, a seaside city in China; additionally, five of the company’s EH216-S vehicles were delivered to local customers.

The five EHang 216-S eVTOLs delivered in Na’an are intended for applications including low-altitude tourism, urban transportation, and emergency response.
Per EHang, construction has also begun at the Nan’an City Urban Air Mobility Operation Center in Xinhai Wetland Park to support the gradual integration of eVTOL technology into the city’s infrastructure.
With the support of Na’an city’s government and partners, EHang’s EH216-S plans to gradually expand to operate in scenic spots such as Zheng Chenggong Memorial and Xinhai Wetland Park, thereby helping to boost the development of the city’s low-altitude economy, according to EHang’s social post.
