EHang Pegs Retail Price of EH216-S Unmanned eVTOL at RMB2.39 Million, or $336,573.00, Within China

EHang’s suggested retail price in China will be effective beginning April 1, 2024.

(Guangzhou, China) Urban air mobility (UAM) technology company EHang Holdings Limited (NASDAQ: EH) has announced the suggested retail price within China of RMB2.39 million ($336,573.00) for its electric EH216-S passenger-carrying unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), effective from April 1, 2024.

EHang believes that pricing will effectively cater to market needs and further enhance the value of its eVTOL and UAM, according to a press release from the company.

Previously, in May of 2023, the cost of purchasing an EH216 had been reported at $302,000, or about RMB 2,144,351, according to eHang director Nick Yang via Global Sky Media.

Recent milestones for EHang’s self-developed EH216-S eVTOL include:

  • October 13, 2023: Type Certificate (TC) receipt from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC)
  • December 21, 2023: Receipt of its Standard Airworthiness Certificate (AC), leading to deliveries to the EH216-S’s first set of customers
  • December 28, 2023: The certified EH216-S successfully completed its inaugural commercial flight certifications in Guangzhou and Hefei
  • January 26, 2024: EHang announces strategic partnership with the Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports of Luohu District, Shenzhen municipality to jointly develop a model for growth in the cultural, commercial and tourism sectors via pilotless eVTOL aircraft, focusing specifically on applications including passenger-carrying aerial sightseeing and intelligent delivery.
