EHang Obtains World’s First Airworthiness Certificate for a Pilotless, Passenger-Carrying eVTOL; Delivers First Certified EH216-S to Guangzhou Customer

(Guangzhou, China) EHang Holdings Limited (Nasdaq: EH) today announced that its EH216-S has obtained the world’s first airworthiness certificate for an unmanned, passenger carrying eVTOL – specifically, the standard Airworthiness Certificate from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (“CAAC”).

The certified EH216-S was produced at EHang’s Yunfu Production Base and adheres to both the Type Certificate issued by the CAAC in October of 2023 and standard production procedures under the supervision of the CAAC, according to a press release from EHang.

EHang’s first certified eVTOL was delivered to ETON, an intelligent aviation technology subsidiary of Guangzhou Development District Communications Investment Group Co., Ltd., which is managed by the local government of Huangpu District in Guangzhou.
