AST Spacemobile Secures $43 Million Contract in Support of U.S. Space Development Agency
As part of the U.S. Space Force, SDA will accelerate delivery of needed space-based to support terrestrial missions through development, fielding, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture.
(Midland, Texas) AST Space Mobile (NASDAQ: ASTS) announced today (Feb. 26) a new contract award in support of the United States Space Development Agency (SDA) through a prime contractor; the expected revenue from the award is $43 million, according to this morning’s press release from the company.

Per AST, as part of the U.S. Space Force, SDA will accelerate delivery of needed space-based capabilities to support terrestrial missions through development, fielding, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture.
The contract follows successful testing on AST’s BlueWalker-3 satellite in orbit under the previous contract announced in February 2024. Per AST, the company will utilize its next generation Block 2 BlueBird satellites, featuring the largest commercial phased array antennas ever deployed in low Earth orbit – spanning an unprecedented 2,400 square feet – in order to fulfill its contract obligations.
