Archer Aviation Receives Part 141 FAA Certification to Launch Pilot Training Academy
Archer has now received its third of four required FAA certificates on its path to launch air taxi operations once the Midnight eVTOL receives Type Certification.
(Santa Clara, California) Archer Aviation (NYSE: ACHR) announced this morning that it received Part 141 Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification to launch its pilot training academy.

The Part 141 certificates are granted to flight schools by the FAA in order to signify that they are formally recognized and regulated institutions for pilot training.
With the grant of its Part 141 certificate, Archer has now received its third certificate required by the FAA for its to launch air taxi operations once its Midnight electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) vehicle receives its Type Certification; Archer previously received its Part 135 Air Carrier and Operator Certificate from the FAA in June of 2024, and its Part 145 (maintenance and repair) certificate in February of 2024. The fourth and final certificate that Archer will be pursuing its its Part 142 certificate, which signifies flight training organizations that conduct integrated courses (vs. Part 141, which conduct non-integrated courses).
