Archer Announces Plans & Partnerships for Miami Air Taxi Network

(Miami, Florida) Archer Aviation (NYSE: ACHR) today (Dec. 3) revealed plans for a Miami metropolitan area electric air taxi network, with the intention to connect major population and business centers including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach via 10-20 minute electric flights.

The network is intended to enable air taxi passengers to bypass ground-based traffic and unlock “a new mobility ecosystem that is safe and efficient,” according to today’s press release from Archer.

Per Archer, the network is intended to offer efficient travel options between the Miami region’s three major international airports – Miami International Airport (MIA), Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) – as well as several strategic general aviation airports in the area.

Archer is working with infrastructure and real estate partners both to ready existing helipad infrastructure and stand up new-build vertiports, including:

• Related Ross, which will partner with Archer in developing a veritport  within its West Palm Beach downtown development
• Hard Rock Stadium and Apogee Golf Club, which feature existing helipads that will be readied for electric operations
• Dragon Global’s Magic City Innovation District® in Miami’s Little Haiti, which plans to develop a vertiport site
