American Airlines Announces Plans to Install Fleet-Wide Starlink Internet Beginning in 1Q2027

(Fort Worth, Texas) American Airlines (NASDAQ: AAL) announced today (May 26) plans to install SpaceX’s Starlink Wi-Fi on more than 500 of its narrow body aircraft beginning in Q1 2027.

Specifically, American plans to update its Wi-Fi offering on its fleet of more than 500 Airbus aircraft, including new A321XLR and A321neo deliveries.

As of this year, American Airlines’ fleet consists of more than 1,000 aircraft – making the airline the second largest commercial airline fleet in the world.
